Simply measure wall to wall (plasterboard to plasterboard) inside rooflight aperture and we will make a 10mm deduction from the width and height to give a 5mm clearance all the way around the outer
blind frame. We recommend ordering your blind fully assembled so you receive it as a frame ready to screw in place.

Choose our solar powered battery pack option as an alternative to mains powered.
Comes pre-fitted to the outer blind frame via snap on brackets for easy access when you order pre-assembled. The solar panel sits above the outer blind frame to trickle charge the power pack to give you blind use without the need for costly electricians and the hassle of installing mains power supply connection up to your rooflight.

Do you make the blinds yourself in your UK factory?
Yes we manufacture the blinds in our Stamford factory cut to size and built to your exact spec.
We offer a variety of material colours all hand made and cut to size for each blind assembly.
Can I buy direct from you as a homeowner?
Yes we are happy to supply homeowners direct, cutting out the middle man saves £££’s It is easier to buy the blind pre-fitted into a rooflight by the rooflight manufacturer.
We work very closely with Roof-Maker in Leicester who are the UK's largest manufacturer of fixed and opening rooflights and who fit our blinds into their rooflights and roof lanterns.
Do your blinds have any visible supporting wires in the middle of the rooflight?
No our blinds are designed to be clutter free with self-supporting
inserts within the cellular blind material. You may see a tiny section of cable coming from the power pack if you choose this option.
How easy are the blinds to install?
If you choose the pre-assembled option (our recommendation) the blinds come ready assembled in a frame and simply fix into place with four screws in minutes.
It is important to pack the frame when screwing into the plasterboard or rooflight to prevent distortion of the aluminium outer profile which could affect the blind operation.
Kit-form blinds require assembly on site which takes about an hour per blind.

I’ve just had a brand new rooflight fitted in my house and the plasterboard hasn’t been fitted yet, what do I measure?
If you want the outer blind frame (46mm wide) to be concealed by the plasterboard for a more minimal look you need to give us the tight rooflight sizes internally (aluminium to aluminium) and we will make the deductions to suit.
For this option you need to fit the blind first and then plasterboard afterwards, so timing is important
If the plasterboard has already been completed you would fit the blind plasterboard to plasterboard and add additional plaster-boarding to pack out the aperture until the 46mm wide blind profile is hidden.
Or you could just leave the outer frame visible.
Is the battery power pack simple plug and play?
Yes no wiring is required and the battery pack is fixed in place under the blind for easy removal to charge up.
The power pack is fixed to the inside of the blind via easy snap on access brackets for easy removal for charging. This might be once or twice a year depending on blind usage.
Where does the battery power pack go?
The battery pack comes with a flush mounted bracket fixing the small power pack to the inside of the blind frame for easy access.
Everything is pre-connected to use with no wiring, simple plug-in connectors and is easily removed for recharging.
Does the cellular blind material block 100% of the light coming in from my skylight or roof window?
Pretty much, we say 99% thanks to the built in aluminium fixing frame that comes with each SKY-BLIND
Do the blinds come with a plug for my electrician to create a hidden socket in the ceiling to power them?
Yes we supply around 3.5mtrs of cable including the small step down transformer that takes the voltage down to 24V DC.
Take care if removing the small transformer to reconnect the wires the correct way - & + or the blind will not operate.
What should I deduct for the blinds to fit my skylight recess opening?
We will make the deductions, you simply measure plasterboard to
plasterboard, tight sizes.
How fast can I get delivery of my blind?
We deliver all blinds within 7-9 days from ordering.
Do you deliver on your own transport?
Yes when you order the blind pre-assembled we use our vans to deliver to ensure no damage.
Do you have a remote control that can operate multiple rooflight blinds as I have 4 separate blinds in my kitchen?
Yes simply choose multi-channel remote control option when ordering on our website. This option will allow up to 15 channels for operating 15 separate blinds.
If you need a remote for separate rooms, order with each blind.
What if I order the blinds the wrong size?
Don't worry, we understand that this happens occasionally and so we offer a collect and remake service for a 25% handling fee to remake the blind swapping it over to the correct sizes rather than it being a total loss for you.
This covers the cost of collecting the old blind amending it and redelivering it back to you.
